Well, the projected path image came out so well that I've decided to share a color enhanced photo of Cyclone Tomas taken about 2 1/2 hours ago.
It's a pretty big system, but is still "only" a Category 2.

Good luck, Mal! It looks like it will pass 150 miles to the east but I note you are in the "angerous semi-circle" where the winds are higher.

Oops, I forgot. In the southern hemisphere the winds go the other way so you were in the less dangerous hemisphere. Glad you made it through anyway.
