Fiji beckons, Torrid is nearly ready-finally. Final preparations are underway and provisioning has begun. It is expected to take 25-30 days to sail to Fiji. Plans may change en-route as making plans is a good way to make God laugh.

It has been a long time, but things are coming together.
Plans have been changed somewhat. Tahiti is no longer the first stop. I flew to Tahiti in December of 2008 and cruised several islands. Tahiti is VERY beautiful but VERRRRRRRRRRRRRY expensive. Insultingly expensive. I still don't know how they justify their prices. $24.00 for a small watermellon!!
Fiji is now the goal. The voyage is a little longer but the islands and waters are just as pretty as Tahiti. The costs are far lower and the government is far friendlier to "Yachties".

Aloha.
Torrid is being prepared for a trip to Kauai and Niihau in August. As the departure date nears the schedule will be posted and hopefully I'll be able to start attaching photos again. Torrid is still in Kaneohe Bay but is anxious to get back into Blue Water.

UPDATE 6/21/07

All is well. My computer crashed, so updates have been a problem.
Details later, suffice to say Torrid is back at her home buoy and is in great shape.
Planning a trip to Kauai soon. Details to follow.

UPDATE 6/6/07

All is well, except for my computer which needs repairs. I sailed from Maui to Molokai then on to Oahu where Torrid is now back at her home mooring. I did the trip single-handed and did not experience any major difficulties.
Once my computer is back I can add a few photos. For the time being I'll plan a trip to Kauai/Niihau and another back to Maui and then the Island of Hawaii later this summer.
For the time being, minor repairs and adjustments will occupy my time.

All is well, except for my computer. I won't be able to post photos until repairs are done. I'm back in Lahaina after a few days back at Little Beach. Plans call for a weekend at Honolua Bay, about 7 miles North of Lahaina. Hopefully more photos will be up next week.
